The Beauty of White

There is something so beautiful in a white palette. So crisp and pretty. Julia challenged us today on SCS to use a white canvas for today's creation. We are approaching wedding season so I went with a white wedding theme. These tree swallows are the stamp of the month for april at CHF...don't forget to pick these up. I tried to just use snippets of things here and there. A tiny bit of patterned paper, a left over piece of ribbon, a button, a flower...

Do you ever have trouble pasting something to vellum? I almost always stitch it on, a quick fix that looks pretty on the inside as well. This thick vellum from Prism makes a nice and sturdy card base...love that!

Here is just a little close up, trying to capture the "romance" of the image.

All the deets:
Stamps:
Tree Swallows (SOTM), Wedding Day Centers (Mona Lisa Moments) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Lake Mist Adirondack (Ranger)
London Fog Memento (Tsukineko)
Paper:
Vellum (Prism)
White Cardstock (Neenah)
Alicia Patterned Paper (Melissa Frances)
Accessories:
Ribbon, Flower (Prima)
Button, Eyelet (Making Memories)
Twine
Satin Ribbon
Stitching
Pinking Shears

See you tomorrow....cupcake friday!
