I used the "Punny Farm" set from My Favorite Things for a today's card. A few of you have asked me to do another copic tutorial so here it is on this card.I wanted to play along today with Julia's "ways to use it" challenge....I love her challenges. Today we were challenged to use paint. I thought a rustic paint cracked heart would be the perfect accent for today's farm card. I used Tim Holtz crackle paint (antique linen) to paint the chipboard heart, I heat set it to hurry the drying process. I also painted my button a little to match. The ribbon on this card is from that bargin deal you can find at Costco, a whole bunch of ribbon for CHEAP....gotta go check that out if you have a costco near you.

Here is a close up of the heart so you can see how cool that crackle paint is. I love it! Hope you enjoy the video...I know my hands get in the way of seeing my coloring, but I think you can still pick up on the technique.
Tip: Click on the photo of my card and you can see a real close version to get a better look at the shading. Now remember, I did this one quickly for the video....so I did go out of the lines in a few spots....ack....too much coffee! LOL!
Happy Stamping!

yeah, it takes a little while to load up on youtube, check back in a bit and I know it will be there.
This is the cutest card! Love your creativity!
Wonderful tutorial!!! I have just recently gotten Copics, and really appreciate the visual instructions!!! The tip about using acetate will be very helpful!!! Thanks so much!!!
Wonderful card also!!

Sherrie this is awesome, thanks so much for the tips. Love your sheep!
Outstanding tutorial. Great job explaining- I needed this - thanks!
Thanks for sharing the video. I enjoyed watching it and will try it out!
I have copied your blog link into my calendar for when I get home tongiht so I can sit and enjoy your tutorial. I saw on the DD forum that you have a copic one as well. I have all four sets and don't have a clue how to work with them. I mostly use them to color ribbon. Expensive ribbon, huh!!! Your work is beautiful, Sherry! PS If I write you and send you my email address will you give me some feedback on how to create a video?
Great tutorial! Love those sheep!
Most awesome!
Hugs,
Joani
That is an adorable card, as cute as cute can get. Pat
Hi Sherrie!
I just love the way you wove the ribbon across the top of the card...so simple but very striking :)
Great tutorial, Sherry! Thanks so much for taking the time to do these!
Fabulous tutorial! I really loved the color of your sheep and it was wonderful to see the artist at work. :)
Love how you changed up the angle on your camera. Now bring it in real close so we can see even better.
Have you ever had a marker dry out- I would think that since it was an alcohol marker and alcohol evaporates that it might.
And did the ink dry on the transparency that you were using? Does applying the wet marker to it lift up the color, or did it stay wet? Just wondering if the copics would be good for coloring on transparency stamping as well. Love all your stuff. I read lots of blogs and sometimes dont have time to read all of them each day, but when I see that Card Creme has a new upload, I always click on to see :)
ps. If you'd like, you may answer back on a frequent question day, or at cococats or SCS.
Love the video, still trying to learn to shade with Copics, this helped a lot! Loved the card!
Fabulous!!! Thought you'd like to know that I've mentioned you on my blog!! Your tutorial rocks. Hope you have a sense of humor!!! ((hugs))
Great tutorial Sherrie! I could see what you were doing just fine! Are you using the sketch Copics? Thanks! Deb
Totally adorable card. Love that heart!
Sweet....Love everything about this!!!
Thanks so much for this tutorial!
Sherrie,
Thanks so much for the awesome tutorial. I have just started buying the copics, and was not having fun with blending. I would have never thought to use a transperency. Great idea...Chris
The card is adorable too!
Another great video, Love the way you did the ground, so neat to see how you work, love the heart, before I read I thought it was a wooden heart, so love how you threaded the ribbon too!
Great tutorial, Sherrie! So interesting to see how others use their Copics; I can't wait until the Copic folks show us how they use 'em. By the way, I don't know why your voice surprised me! I mean, you are BC Sherrie... Still, I think I expect everyone to talk with an Oklahoma twang! : ) I love hearing regional accents -- gives me faith that we're not becoming a totally homogenized society. Viva la difference!
I just did a google search for "Copic marker tutorial card" I believe and found this one and your other video tutorial. They were both so, so helpful! I just bought a set of Copics and have had trouble with blending. I love your tip on using ink from the darker color on the lighter tip (either with a transparency or just tip to tip). Very helpful! Thank you very much! I have added your blog to my bloglines!
Sherrie Thank you for this tutorial!!! I recently bought a few copics and I really like them. Your video makes me want to shop for more!! Very cute card,I love the way you used 2 single stamps to create a scene.
