Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 39!

Faith in the storm...now there is a statement that is said but wow is it ever powerful when you see it lived. It is October which can be a hard month for my sis...as it is her firstborn's birthday month. Sadly, for us, he is no longer on earth and as I watched my sister live "faith through the storm" I was inspired by the memory of her strength. I found myself saying prayers as I remember my nephew.
With the help of Taylor's fabulous cupcake challenge sketch I created this with a new set that is released today at Cornish Heritage Farms. It is called "Beacon of Hope" and I thought it looked really neat on the backdrop of this Thomas Kinkade patterned paper. I colored the images with my copics, staying with the grey/blue palette in the paper.

Here is the sketch so you can play along in TAYLOR'S challenge.
Don't forget to see what the rest of the cupcake crew came up with:
Stephanie Hargis: Steph's Stampin' Stuff
Vicki Chrisman: This Art that makes me Happy
Jami Sibley: More is More
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper
Ana Wohlfahrt: Ink A Stamp
Donna Baker: Stamp A Maniac
Jackie Pedro: The Scalloped Edge
The cupcake sampler this week is Kathie Bailey and you can find all her creations on her blog HERE!

Enjoy your blog hopping today, I know there are tons of great projects with Taylor's new release...which makes it a very special cupcake friday!

I found this stamped sentiment for the card quite comforting and inspiring...so I thought I would leave you for the weekend on that note....

This card is so serene and beautiful. I love it...

My Mom lost my older brother when I was a newborn (he was 13 months old) and August is his birth month...she still struggles to this day (he would be 42) every year. My youngest daughter was born on his birthday so it has made that day in August bittersweet for her. (Sorry for the long comment, but your story just made me think of my Mom and her struggle...and she is a huge Thomas Kincade fan)
