Product Tour!

Yes, the time is here for another brand new release from My Favorite Things! You will find all the "new" stuff under the BRAND SPANKIN' NEW category.

To celebrate the release I am playing with Pirate Boy.

For this first card I cut the sword off of the colored up image and instead gave him a flag to wave. I used the new Triangle Screen to lay over top of the Wild Cherry cardstock and then cut them both out together using the Jumbo Fishtail STAX.

I distressed and "dirtied up" some of the timepiece elements....the new Collage Backgrounds and the Time Piece Die-namics.

Below is a look at the inside of the card....just some simple stamping to make my little skeleton pile.
Pirate boy #2! Here I paired him up with some Hipster papers from Basic Grey.

I used the die cut elements in Blueprints 6 to come up with my own layout. I even made his own separate paper sword!

If you look close at the copic coloring you will notice that I did very loose coloring....not worrying too much about those nice smooth blends and I used a multiliner (now available in brown) to do some cross-hatching on his clothes.

His sword is actually a piece of tin-foil and my FAVORITE detail is blown up on the left....

I made a little puddle of UTEE on red cardstock and heated it from the bottom (so that the UTEE would stay in one spot) and then while it was still warm stamped the skull into it. It reminded me of the hot wax seals that pirates or kings used to do on a letter.

Something good to know......that process didn't melt or wreck my stamp! You can tell because below is the inside of this card that I stamped after the fact.
