This month, we were challenged to create clean and simple projects - without the use of any pattern paper. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a clean and simple project to share with you today.
It is fun to dabble in different styles, while mine is not generally the "clean and simple" type, I do appreciate how difficult making a GOOD clean and simple card can be! So here is my trio of cards...hope you enjoy them!
First off....is "Thanks snow much". I thought it would be fun to color him with my copics in a bit of a cleaner style. Making the shadows super obvious and not blending the shadows together.
I stamped the image once on the sno cone card stock and once on my X-press it blending card paper. Colored it up on the X-press it and then trimmed it out and adhered it to the card front.
I added a little rustic heart with the sentiment from the "Thanks Snow Much" set.
Here is a peek at the inside. The image is embossed in white and then I added the fun layered heart border for detail.
I thought it would be fun to do a cut out style card using one of the many fabulous MFT Die-namics, this is "large leaf filled flourish".
If you look really close you can see that I put some of the "negative" portions of the die on the inside of the card.
A sweet sentiment from the "you make my day" stamp set and a mini heart from the "notched tag Die-namics" popped up on dimensional foam.
Last, but certainly not least, is the clean and simple card using the Circus Spectacular set!First off....is "Thanks snow much". I thought it would be fun to color him with my copics in a bit of a cleaner style. Making the shadows super obvious and not blending the shadows together.

The first thing that I did was emboss the animals using the Die-namics that match this set. This gave my card a faux letterpress look. LOVED that!
I then inked up some of the fabulous new ink colors from MFT for the animals and drew in a little background line with my copic multiliner pen.
The sentiment is from the "On the line" stamp set.
You can see from the photo on the left the letterpress look I am talking about.
Below is my full supply list from MFT! Hope you enjoyed my peek into the world of clean and simple!
I am off to photograph the animals this week in DISNEYWORLD.....yay!

ohhh, I love how you coloured the snowman Sherrie!
Love these!!
fabulous
Love these. Especially the circus animals.
Great CAS cards.
I don't know if I could have met this challenge, but you sure did and your cards are very sweet.
Love the harsh shadows on the snowman and the colors you used instead of the usual grays! It makes it very vintage looking.
