June MFT Product Tour

Release Day is always a special day on my blog with My Favorite Things! I created a sweet little project that could be an inexpensive way to brighten someone's day....I prettied up a Mason jar for flowers and added a fun shaped card to go with it.

All the MFT supplies are listed at the bottom of the post....

Here is a closer look at the shaped card. I used one of the new release STAX Die-namics to make this pretty card base. Colored up with my copic markers (see photo below for colors).

I used no patterned paper today....SHOCKING! I did use three different colors of felt for the pretty flower accents.

It was fun to color this mouse 2 ways....on the card with my straight copic marker coloring and then on the vase with the airbrush :)

Here is a close look at the finished vase.....
Here are the markers that I used to airbrush the background. I embossed the image with white detail powder and then after I was done airbrushing I wiped the main image with a towel misted with blender solution. This brought back the crisp white outline. A fun alternative way to color.
These are the rolled Die-namics that I used to create my little flowers for the vase.
Here are the marker colors that I used to color the main image for the card. I tried to stay close to the colors that I airbrushed in the vase image.
Here is what I did to create the shaped card. I cut both an outside piece and inside piece with the Designer Label 2 STAX Die-namics. I wanted it extra thick for rigidity and then I could decorate the inside as well (being white).

I scored along the top and this is where I adhered my front and back panel of the card. This finished card would fit in a standard A2 envelope. Now....be sure to check out all the new products on the product tour. You can find them all at the MFT blog!
