My daughter and I shopped at Old Navy yesterday and we both picked up some flip flops (buy 2 pair for $6). Plastic and plain, crying out for some fun flower decor!
I had some pretty fabric that I ran through my Xyron to add adhesive to the back and then added bubblegum felt to the backside of the fabric. This added the rigidity that I was looking for.
Next, I cut out the flowers (in my cuttlebug) with the MFT Large Royal Rose Die-namics, created the flower shape and hot glued into place. I added some felt leaves and a rhinestone for a little extra decoration. The WARM sunshine is here and now I have my flip flops ready to go!
