MFT Creative Team Challenge

Happy Valentine's Day! Today is the day in the month where the My Favorite Things design team does a "creative challenge". This month was the theme of BABY. My sewing machine was missing me so I decided to make my own little facecloth that would be a sweet little gift.

I stamped the "Girl and Baby" pure innocence image with versacraft ink on some canvas. I then stitched with color embroidery floss around the outline of the image. I made little knots for the eyes and filled in the stitching on the little baby in the blanket she is holding. This went surprisingly quick as it took me as long as it would take me to traditionally color the image.

Like any gift....it is about the presentation. I rolled up the little facecloth and tied a twill tape ribbon. I then used a couple of Die-namics.

I had some scrap face cloth material where I used the "Rolled Rose" Die-namics and some pink felt with the "Hearts a Plenty" Die-namics.

Off to see what the other girls came up with for this sweet baby challenge. The full list of participating designers are on the MFT blog.

Thanks for sharing and what a great way to use our stamps. I have also been looking at a few of my stamps to see if I could do some embroidery and you have shown it can be done.
