Sunday Snap

I want to introduce something new to my blog. Some of you who know me have figured out that I have caught a bit of the photography bug. I was blessed this Christmas with a new lens for my camera and have been playing with it quite a bit....

I do not normally post papercrafting items on my blog on Sundays so I thought it would be a neat slot to post a "thought" or a "favorite photo" from that week. I will title it "Sunday Snap" for the benefit of those who may not want to see a non-papercrafting post. These snaps will give you a little insight to my heart, my family and those things around me.

This month.....I have been inspired to read through the Bible this year with THIS reading plan. I was encouraged today that my daughter decided to make her own cute little bookmark and follow my husband and I in this challenge.....this leads to today's service at Church. We had the pleasure of a guest speaker, James M. Houston. He is 90 years young and TOTALLY inspiring to listen to.  He spoke on prayer today. I bought one of his books "The Transforming Friendship" and I wanted to share the link with you too. Prayer starts with the heart.....and the quote in the photo above resonated with me today.

The actual door is the one in the "hub" of our home. The door that my husband and father-in-law installed. This was an old, used door picked up from a second hand shop as well as the pretty glass knob. I am a visual learner, so the picture for me helped write the quote on my heart today.
