Sketch Friday!

Yeah it is Friday! That gives me the warm fuzzies!!! My hubby and I are celebrating 17 years of marriage this weekend too! An extra special weekend....
This was one of the images that I didn't get to show you before release day yesterday at My Favorite Things. This is "Emma Celebrates The Season". I had some Basic Grey patterned paper kicking around from last season and have decided that I need to use up some of my stash before going out to buy more this year!
Here is a close up of my snowflakes. These are the "let is snow" die trio from MFT. I used all three sizes. I made one pass through my cuttlebug with my patterned paper and one pass with my kraft paper and that was all it took to make these three snowflakes. I used my glue pen to add a little snow glitter to them. These are the mica flakes by Melissa Frances. You can find these in Ellen's shop HERE.
Here is the close up of the coloring I did with my copics. Do you see the difference between the shading (the nice gradient blend of color on the coat) and the cast shadows, the hard lines cast on the coat. This is something that I now pay more attention to in my coloring since attending the intermediate copic certification in Chicago.
She is stamped on the white X-press it Blending card paper that you can also find at Ellen's HERE. Then I mounted her on a piece of chipboard and then antiqued the edges with my airbrush with my YR31 and my E33.

Here is the sketch so you can play along in TAYLOR'S challenge.
Don't forget to see what the rest of the sketch crew came up with:
Jami Sibley: More is More
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper
Alice Lihsuan-Wertz: Alice's Little Wonderland
Lisa Hjulberg: The Craft's Meow
Rosie Hughes: Love my Craft Room

Well my hubby says he has a little surprise for me on Saturday....looking forward to that, he has been super secretive as I tend to be SUPER nosy!
Have a great weekend and I'll let you in on the surprise next week.

Those shadows look so natural I hardly noticed they were there- brilliant! Would love to try the advance certification course sometime, but it's nice to see my teacher still learning something new, too! ;) Great card!
