Baby Love

ScrapblocksTM have invaded my stamp room! I seem to be picking these stamps up for every project lately. They are so nice and large that they fit all the fabric projects I have been doing. If you want to know more about these refer to THIS POST.
There are so many fun releases coming up for Cornish Heritage Farms. The ScrapblockTM release is June 3rd and the Kim Hughes release is June 5th.
Here is a cool baby ensemble gift idea using the scrapblocksTM and the new set "baby love". It is a bath set including little heart shape sponges, a Q-tip holder, a customized facecloth, and a wonderful bag to hold a towel and all the contents. I treated my fabric very much the same way I would a card. I stamped my images (using palette metallic ink) and then masked them and used my scrapblockTM with acrylic paint to stamp over top.
Here is a close-up so you can see the detail. My fabric has a small polkadot in it. This turned out to be really cool because when I colored my little elephant with my copic marker the polkadots resisted and showed up! There is no fabric piecing or iron ons here. This is direct to fabric stamping so you can wash them over and over again without worry of the washing machine.
I just love the little puffy heart sponges. They are made simply by using my heart nestabilities to cut out the fabric. Yes, running my fabric through my cuttlebug. I did a tutorial on that process HERE.
Doesn't this little dinosaur look sweet! I tried out one of Adirondack's pigment pens on this guy. They color like a charm on fabric too! This little bag for the Q-tips is soooo simple to make. I stamped the plaid scrapblockTM with paint on a 6x6 piece of fabric, then just folded it in half (right sides together) and sewed along the bottom and side. Turn right side out and voila a little bag!

Here is a fabulous video showing you more on the ScrapblocksTM brought to you by the lovely Lisa Strahl. Enjoy!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
