Carved Initials

This is for a CPS sketch contest that I thought would be great to enter. I had the sketch rolling around in my head for a couple days then it came to me (at 3am!). Have you ever had that when you wake out of a dead sleep and an idea comes? Well I didn't have the energy to find a pen to write it down so.....I woke up dear hubby and told him in case I would forget. He thought I was nuts of coarse! The tree made the perfect little strip up the middle that is on the sketch. I had the perfect pp for it too. The cosmo cricket (wanted) line has this wonderful wood grain pattern on it....precisely what I wanted for my tree. I cut it out using an exacto blade and dangled my tire swing from it (using 2 circle punches). The falling leaves are from the Papertrey (greenthumb) set. The three items in the middle of the tree are my "carvings" I think we all did this as kids! I used pewter brads to look like nail heads. This was so much fun. Think I'll go try another with this sketch!
