I got to play with "Crafty Friends" for this release and I wanted to do a couple of COMPLETELY different cards....
You have seen many of my favorite STYLE of cards.....stamp image in black, color with copics, mat and dress up with pretty patterned papers....and while I LOVE that, I wanted to appeal to your side of "let's see something different" today.....so here it goes :)
First off....a close up of the felt "happy" from the "Happy Birthday Die-namics".
Tip:
When cutting detailed dies with felt...a great idea is to back your felt with an adhesive sheet before you cut it. This will stabilize your felt so that it won't tear. It also makes it easier to apply to your project too :) I have big 8.5x11 adhesive sheets from X-press it that I cut down to whatever size I need.....this works great for fabrics too!
First thing I have to say......the WHOLE time I made this card I could only think of a line from "Finding Nemo" ...."Find a happy place, find a happy place, find a happy place", while Darla was tapping on the fish tank glass. I added the little excerpt video for a giggle.
This was the inspiration for the sentiment...so here is my "Happy Place"!
I figured since this "Crafty Friends" girl was stamping why not use my MFT inkpads to create a background? It worked so well.... I used Pink Lemonade, Bubblegum, Razzle Berry, Wild Cherry and Electric Red.
Here is a look at the inside....stamped with Pink Lemonade and then the image in Razzle Berry and the sentiment in Wild Cherry!

Next up, another completely different look....
I stamped "Crafty Friends" in versamark ink and embossed with CLEAR detail powder. I colored her up using my copic markers and then airbrushed the background with BG78.
Stamped the sentiment in Jellybean Green ink and used Jellybean Green Ribbon with a Nightshift Blue button.
I thought the "Speech Bubble Frame" Die-namics was a perfect match to this Studio Calico patterned paper.
As you can see with the image on the left...I popped up the speech bubble a little for dimension.
TIP:
Make sure you do a little masking if you are airbrushing with really dark copic colors....there will often be overspray due to a juicy marker and the very nature of a dark dye ink.
You can also clean up those "white" stamped lines with your blender pen when you are done....
Here is a look at the inside and another one of the sentiment in "Crafty Friends". So sweet!

Such creative cards! Your first card just makes me smile and I love the effect of clear embossing.
Wow and double wow. I'd love the red on for a sign on my craft room door. LOL. You are so creative. Oh, but your second card is AWESOME. So unusual and creative with the coloring. Just love them both.
Very pretty cards! I especially love the second with the bold color and how the embossing gave such a cool effect!
Wow, these are so fabulous.
These are adorable. Love how you used the Happy in the first card with that cute PI image.
Darling cards, Sherrie!!
Sweet cards
wow! these two cards are soooo cool and totally unique. I adore the second one especially...you're a master with those copics!
How fun is that? I love that you stamped with the pads - and your happy place is so fun!
These are so cool Sherrie! LOVE how you used the ink pads on the background!
