Yummmm.... I haven't had a chance to show you this set "Who's that Chocoholic?" that was released on January 6th! I thought it would be fun to give it a delicious vintage flair. The sentiment was what got my creative juices going this time..."chocolate sings" made me go and look for some old sheet music that I could cut up. I made sure not to grab any of my daughters current music (lol).
This is also a lot of Melissa Frances goodness, perfect when I am reaching for vintage!
I started by covering my regular office supply store shipping tag with the sheet music. I did some paper piecing on the main image combined with copic coloring...nothing can color skin tones better than my copics!
Here is a close shot of some of the detail....I wanted to draw attention to the box o' chocolates so I framed them with one of Melissa Frances' resin pieces, then I took the MF pearls and colored them with my E29 marker. There are lots of sizes on one sheet of pearls so it was perfect for finding the size to match the scale of my image.
I used E50 and E21 for her skin and E40, E43 for the shading. I also dusted (airbrushed) the finished image with my E11 marker to make it not as stark of a white. I love that I can just VERY LIGHTLY touch my trigger on my airbrush to give a very faint dusting.
Here is the sketch so you can play along in TAYLOR'S challenge.
Don't forget to see what the rest of the sketch crew came up with:
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper
Melissa Sauls: In Stamping Mode
Alice Lihsuan-Wertz: Alice's Little Wonderland
Lisa Hjulberg: The Craft's Meow
Here are all my card deets:

Who's that Chocoholic and Clearly Sentimental about Chocolate (My Favorite Things)

Patterned Paper (Melissa Frances), White Card Stock (Neenah)
