Birdie Post

What a great day to do a "birdie" post as Julia challenged us on SCS to incorporate birds....I LOVE birds! Here is a peek at tomorrows' release at CHF! This is part of a set called the Tom Fun Collection....the fabulous artist that brings us the "Friendly Kritters" series also has some really cute line art! I am drawn to these chicks!

It was fun to pair up one of the border strips from the "earth love" collection by Cosmo Cricket and add my adorable birdie to the end of it! I popped up the balloon and added some glossy accents to it for detail. Doesn't he look like his balloon is carrying him away on a beautiful spring day? I played with the embellishments as well...adding buttons to the flowers and adding a paper daisy frill that I colored with my copics to match the paper.
Here are the deets on this card:
Stamps:
Spring Chicks and More (Tom Fun Collection) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Tuxedo Black Memento (Tsukineko)
Paper:
Kraft (Prism)
Earth Love (Cosmo Cricket)
Accessories:
Copic Markers
Paper Frill (Doodlebug)
Buttons (Making Memories)
Glossy Accents (Ranger)

Here is a totally different look using the same stamp set. I used my fragments and glued them to the different patterns on the index sheet of the "girl friday" collection from Cosmo Cricket.

Here is a fun close look at the details...a couple that I want to point out.
I used my Multiliner pen to help in creating this scene. I added the little hash marks around his knees to make that egg look REALLY HEAVY...
I also added the ground to connect the tower of eggs with my chick (so they don't look like they are floating in space).
On the egg itself I colored it with my copics and then used my blender pen to give it some spots.
Here are all the deets.

These are ultra cute! And the way you used the fragments as eggs: that's just get-outta-here clever!
