A Crafty Saturday

I had been admiring my sister in law's rag quilt the last few times we were there to visit and thought to myself...that would make a totally cute fun summer purse!

So...Voila...a purse was born! Teehee, I really have fun with these cute birdie images from Cornish Heritage Farms! It is really easy to stamp on fabric and customize your stuff!
I used Buff Bronze (Palette metallic ink) and colored with my copics.
This was not a pattern, just straight off the top of my head. I love to "wing" it!

Here is a close up of the fun little squares. The accent fabric is Michael Miller (LOVE their stuff!). This is a fun quick project. No need for binding or finished edges...you want all the raw edges to show and this leaves a very clean smooth inside. They are a bunch of squares with batting in the middle and when you get all those raw edges sewn together clip along the seams (to make it even messier!).

The last thing I did was throw it in the washer and dryer (to puff it all up), this also shows how well it goes through the wash.
I am so pleased! Here are all my product details:
Stamp:
Pretty Birds, The Landing Pad (Kim Hughes) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Buff Bronze (Palette Metallic Ink)
Accessories:
Fabric (Michael Miller Ginger Blossom Collection)
Cotton Batting
Copic Markers
Sewing Machine
Button (Making Memories)
Brown Satin Ribbon

Enjoy your weekend!
