Challenge Chick time again! Woohoo! Today we are playing with the spotlight product over at Cornish Heritage Farms... Krylon Pens! I had never tried them before and wow am I ever loving the quality of them and the ease of use. Today I am going to show you some techniques using a few different "fun tools".
First I started with a 5" square piece of Prism card stock. I then laid some Heidi Swap mask images on my paper. This is about 4 different masks all combined together.
Now I took my "daisy chain" ScrapblockTM and stamped over my entire piece of paper. I just LOVE the large 6" square size that the ScrapblockTM come in....no piecing together, just one easy step! This is what it looks like when I lift off my ScrapblockTM. Make sure you always have scratch paper under your project to protect your table surface.
Next I peeled off all the leaves and just kept the mask on the bird. I wanted to "highlight" my bird so I used my copic airbrush system and sprayed around the bird while my mask was still on.
I then wanted to highlight all those leaves. This is when my Krylon leafing pen came in. I simply outlined all the leaves with my silver pen....did it ever add the WOW factor I was looking for.
Here is my final product. I thought it would be fun to take the photo in this old birdhouse that I keep in my house.
I added my sentiment and then I had this nifty clear frame from Making Memories that I laid overtop.
There was my fun with the silver leafing pen....want to see what the other Chicks came up with? Here are their links:
