I love playin' with my new paints! This little elephant is by Art gone Wild and he is perfect for coloring. I used papertrey white cs as my base. I added a little ground cover freehand and shadowed a light blue around him. The adorable sentiment (which I thought was perfect due to an elephants' size) is by My Favorite Things. It is in the "must have" essential sentiments set. I leave it out on my desk because I use them on almost every card!
Many of you asked yesterday about my new watercolor paints. This is what they look like. Nice and compact, the paints are about the size of a chicklet, they look like them too. Nice deep rich color in concentrated form, when I add water it gradually lightens the tone. I thought I'd show you a closed and open shot in case you were looking for it.
Yesterday a few of you asked how I did my rain on my card. It is simply done with crystal effect(aka diamond glaze, simple shine). I just did a little glob then pulled it upward to create a raindrop. It looks cool on the acetate because it acts like a little magnifying glass in the areas that have the drops. Neat effect.
Ok, ok.....I'm askin' again. What new cool toys did "Santa" bring you?
I also received some cash so I am looking into those flip camcorders so that I could do some video tutorials....we'll see.
Happy Stamping!

WOW....the painting on your elephant is amazing! I can't believe these paints are new to you. Great job. Um, the best Christmas present was bought by me with giftcards...a new digital camera. Would you believe the one I was using had only THREE MP's!
I got a couple new pairs of pants- I have the opposite problem as you- need petite sized ones.
Mom gave us a new mattress pad, and set of casual dishes for everyday (much needed items!). Also a new microwave- ours went out a few months ago and we've been hobbling along till now. No crafting related items this time around. Maybe next year or for my bday this summer :)
This little guy looks almost soft!!! Just beautiful!!!
BTW consider yourself tagged.
Your elephant is so cute, and colored so perfectly, Sherrie!!
Sooo cute. And as for video tutorials...you go girl! I would love to see you do that. Those paints look fun--you'll have to teach me a thing or two in February. Can hardly wait.
what an adorable little elephant!
Another fab creation! I love the free hand ground colored the way it is. The sentiment is perfect and the ribbon just takes it over the top. Your watercoloring is just perfect. Thanks for sharing the picture of the set - I see the Sakura logo and just love the color palette.
Have a gret new year's celebration.
wow, wish I could do that.... I need a class that teaches me how to blend my colours and how to do light and shadow.
You have it down pat!
Wow - you have sparked my interest in these paints! What is the brand name and where can I find them?! Santa brought me a new camera, new Photoshop Elements software, seven MFT stampsets, a Scor-pal, a crop-a-dile, and I few more items that I can't seem to remember! This was the first Christmas that I gave Santa's helpers a holiday list including websites and items that I was interested in. They did a great job helping Santa this year!

I got some new books and some money for a kiln! Im soooo excited!
And my husband got a new cannon rebel, so I kinda got one too!
He is just too cute, you have alot of talent! My Dh bought me almost all cardmaking supplies, so I was a happy camper, stamps, brads, punches, inks, ect.!
I got a GPS system! This is a great gift because I get lost just backing out of my driveway! Love your card!
What an adorable card! The elephant, as a stamp, is cute enough, but the way you have colored him and in the design you've set him in ... well, just adorable!!!!
I love the elephant! He is so cute. I'm still working on my coloring of images. It seems that I am getting better but it makes me sick that my husband does a better job than me!
Your coloring is amazing! I've bookmarked your blog in my favs!
