Glass Ornaments

This is my ornament trio for this card. I am still learning and playing with the alcohol inks. I used the colors cranberry and lettuce. I used my new snowflake set from Verve Visual as my focus. I did the alcohol background first, let dry, then stamped the snowflake with Palette ink. This causes the color of my background to wipe clean.....so cool! I saw Lisa do this the other day and thought to myself....this is a technique I need to try!
Here are close ups of the glass tiles. I love how unique they are at the same time using the same ink. I mounted a white piece of paper behind my tile that I stamped with my sentiment. I used Crystal effects to bind the paper to my glass tile.

It is so fun to play and try new things, this is truly what keeps card making fresh and exciting. There is always something new to try, I challenge you to go out of your box and try something different.

Happy Stamping!

Nice experimenting! I have some alcohol inks but have only done a few things with them. FYI, Godelieve (Stamping Mathilda) has some really neat backgrounds that she has done with Ecoline inks that might be inspriring for you to look at. I look forward to seeing more of your playing around

These are soooo pretty! I have been intrigued by alcohol inks, but I think this is one of the coolest things I've seen done with them.

Very cool, indeed!! I've never tried the alcohol inks, I am such a basic stamper always using everyday supplies -- this looks like fun!! It also reminds me of the boxes full of glass scraps I have from my stained glass days, as I often thought I should try to incorporate them into a card somehow!!! This card is wonderful inspiration to try something new and different!!!
