Mojo Monday

Have you got Mojo Monday? This is my attempt at Julee's Mojo monday challenge. She has a sketch challenge happening over at Poetic Artistry, make sure you check it out! This wonderful masculine image is from My Favorite Things. Man cards can be so difficult for me, mainly because I don't have A LOT of images to work with. This set from MFT was PERFECT for me! I colored it with my copics, trying to show wear on the recliner where you would naturally wear down the nap of the fabric.YKWIM?? My father's recliner always wore out right around the handle (too many times in and out I guess). I stayed away from ribbon and went with twine from the dollar store for my fiber accent. Love this Junkitz paper!
Just a quick note on color matching. This is what I do with my copics. I decide on the color scheme I am going with (in this case some Junkitz paper was my inspiration) and then take a scrap piece of white cs and color lines. It is easier for me to tell the true colors this way rather than judging by the color of the marker caps.

I tried a new blog banner for fall that I created in Photoshop.....what do you think?

Thanks for the tip to check 'true' colors on a scrap.

Great new banner! I love this idea of doodling on white scrap to match your colours to your paper.
