Are you having as much fun as I am drooling over all the new sets from My Favorite Things? I love these images, they are so FUN to color! This set is called Meet me at the Cafe and will be released along with the 4 other sets on October 1st. There are so many wonderful sentiments in this set and a lot of pieces you don't see here. There is a french poodle, wedding cake, gift , slice of birthday cake and a separate candle.....options are quite limitless! This card I made with Amy Butler DP to begin and let that be my coloring guide. I have some silky chocolate ribbon that I LOVE to use and yes, I love to sew too! This is a long card and fits in a standard legal size envelope.
This card had more of a french feel to me. The dp is Tres Jolie by My Mind's Eye. I popped up the canopy to cast a shadow on my image and give the illusion of looking through a window. I have this wonderful ribbon from fancy pants that I inked with a bit of Nude Palette Ink to match my project. I colored these ladies with copics and then made additional swipes with the marker where I wanted shading. I used the designer label punch and the oval punch for my "cafe" sign.
