This card I created with the sketch challenge on CPS for the traveling postcard segment. I used this set that is coming out October 1st from My Favorite Things. The animals are so neat and they reminded me of a african safari. The four segments at the bottom are chipboard covered in Basic Grey DP. I colored and cut out my animals to mount them along the bottom. I used my acrylic alphabet set from A Muse for the "africa" under my sentiment. Sewing around the edges in my multicolored thread and there you have it!
With this card I decided to play a little I SPY. Can you spot all the fun animals on this card? This Mellow dp is perfect for the jungle look I was going for. I colored the animals with my copics and added some twine for my monkey to swing on. I cut away some grass from the patterned paper to tuck my lion under and cut a slit to poke my giraffe's head through. This was really fun.
