Hen Party

Who doesn't love a good hen party! All those lucky ladies that went to CHA must have had so much fun! I used Beate's sketch to do 18 of these little beauties. Colored the Penny Black chic with my copics and the sentiment is Impress. The Dp is from that jumbo stack from Costco. These will be heading out the door to my shops....
Here is a hen on her own so you can see the individual card. The coloring was done quickly (so don't look too close) when doing a stack of 18. I have SO many neat designs to show you at the end of the week preparing for MFT new releases! Stay Tuned!

Coffee Chick

Had to post my weekend card a little early...too excited to wait. I think we can all relate to some extent this little scene. Drives me nuts when the kids (or hubby) go trouncing through the house in dirty shoes! I must say this doesn't happen very often....but when it does!!!

If you know your stamp sets well, which most of you do, you can see I altered quite a few of them to suit my purpose.

The Papertrey sentiment is originally "the right shoes" where I inserted "coffee" with my Karen Foster snap stamps.

The chicken is Penny Black, which originally holds a cell phone where I inserted a coffee cup from My Favorite Things. I tried one of the larger cups first....that did NOT look right (scale wise). So I used the cup from the square focal image of that set. Make sense???

The "oops" is Karen Foster snap stamps again. I covered it in a bubble as to make it look like the baby chicks' thought. The bubble was some packaging I saved from my Heidi Swap brads.

Stitched in pink to match her purse and cup. PP from my stash (old). Inked the edges to make it even more dirty. I had fun making this one....it was quite the process!

Funky Chicken

I couldn't resist this funky Penny Black chicken! She is just adorable! There are a lot of chicken farmers in this area of BC so I think it will go over well in the gift shops! The sentiment is by Savvy stamps and the flourishes are Rhonna Farrer. I colored her in using my prismacolors and blended with mineral spirits. Happy Monday!
