Flower Garden

What a wonderful day to create! My house is clean and my white sheets are hanging on the line so they will be bleached a bright white and smell like heaven! I do a much better job of creating when there isn't clutter in my head on what needs to be done in the house!

I drew inspiration from this magazine photo for my card. I loved the striped bedding and the green grass pillows poking out. In my card I folded over the rim of pp to make it look like the bed is turned down. I also did what I love to do and that is GET MY HANDS DIRTY! They were full of ink by the time this card was done......love that! I loved the little dots on the card Julee send me so I added those in too, although they were too white, just had to get my ink out again! LOL!!Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

Inspiration

Many of you have asked me where I draw my inspiration. I think I draw it from anywhere and everywhere. Today's strawberry card drew inspiration from a mail out I received. These scrumptious pillows are from a store called "Restoration Hardware", this shop I could dump A LOT of money into! I love their patterns and if you look close there is a pillow there with three distinct panels and I love the white scrolling overlay. So I thought it would be fun to play with my strawberries from Papertrey. I know strawberry stems are traditionally green....but that wouldn't really match so I went with a neutral (black). So there is a little peek into my "process", Don't just chuck those mail outs in the garbage!
