A Thankful Heart

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my fellow Canadians out there! We are having turkey today! Gobble, gobble....
Here is another glimpse of some of the "photo" work I did in the DD gallery. I created the frame with a ribbon stamp to go around my photo. You can see how to do this on my YouTube video HERE.
I chose this photo this morning because of the beautiful expression on my daughter's face. One of happy delight. It caused me to stop again this morning and whisper a thankful prayer for the MANY blessings in my life......
~A God who made me who I am and loves me.
~A family that I have been blessed with.
~A hubby that loves and nurtures.
~Children that are a joy, that make me smile when they walk in the room, they are the best pieces of my hubby and I.
~Friendships that I treasure.
~Creative craft that has brought about so many friendships, locally and many internationally.

Enjoy your thanksgiving with your loved ones!

Beautiful Photo

I am definitely not a scrapbooker, but who could resist working with this beauty?! I wanted to show you something that I had created during my time on the Dirty Dozen team. This is a frame that my FIL made out of molding he had kicking around then I got my hands on it and mucked with it. I used distress crackle paint and white paint and some distress ink to antique the frame to match my image.

My little neice is wearing one of the hats grandma has in her "tickle trunk" so I played off the pretty flowers in the hat to create the corner of flowers in my frame.

I stamped my "Beautiful" flourishes directly on my photo with Stazon ink, added a few more flourishes and sentiment and then muddied it up some more with the vintage photo distress ink.

Check back tomorrow for Taylor's cupcake challenge! I have something totally different than a cupcake.......
