Mixed Media to kick off MFT teasers!

Welcome to day 1 of MFT teasers! It has been quiet on my blog due to graduation festivities at our house but that is just about to change :)

This is a piece that I worked on a large 12x12 canvas. There are some step by step photos below.

Playing with the new Blissful Butterflies stamps and Die-namics that are due for release June 11th! Be sure to check out all the release details on the MFT blog. I am also showing you the new Sun Ray Die-namics....I cut mine out and then used the negative portion as a mask to airbrush my sunset.

The rolling hills you ask? They are made from a product called "Hot Ribbon"....a product made by the company Junko. It is ribbon with adhesive on one side...so I used my heat tool to warm up the adhesive and then stuck them to the canvas to look like a hillside.

Here is a closer look at the rolling hills.
There are also nice sentiments in the Blissful Butterflies set and the Die-namics take away all the fussy cutting that you would have to do!
This is how my canvas started....with some Attic Treasures Patterned papers adhered with Multi Medium and then covered with a coat of Gesso.
I have several packages of the white hot ribbon and I custom colored it with one swipe of my copic markers.
I then airbrushed a hillside base with G24 to give myself a rough idea of where I am putting my hills.
I used my heat tool to then warm up my adhesive (on the backside of the ribbon) and then smooth into place with my fingers....worked really nicely and added fantastic texture to my canvas.

SUPPLIES (Some are only available JUNE 11th Release Day):
