There are so many creative things you can do with circles! I thought it would be fun to do a little birthday banner and matching card.
This was so fun to create using both sets of Circle STAX from MFT!
I could dangle this banner anywhere....here it is on my daughters light fixture in her bedroom.
This banner is sewn together....really simple way to create this....shown below :)
Here is a combination of STAX 1 and STAX 2 to make it so that I only needed a couple passes through my machine to cut all the circles I needed for my banner.
See them all cut! Double sided patterned paper works the best...these are some papers from an Echo Park pad I have.
Sewing is simple! Just sew and as you get to the end of one circle then lay down the next one....no need to stop or back stitch.
I stamped little Birthday Girl on X-press it blending card with Memento "Espresso Truffle" ink.
Here is a little close up of my circle STAX balloons....so sweet! Some are flat and a few of the front ones are popped up on foam tape.
A look at the inside. I curled the sentiment on the block to go around the shape of the balloon and paper pieced a small scrap of patterned paper.
Below is a close up of the coloring and you can see how I attached the twine.
Copic colors:
Skin (E000,01,11,33, BV31,R20)
Hair (Y11,21,26 and E33)
Dress and shoes (R30,32)
Ground/grass (YG03,61,63,67,blender)
