My ****favorite**** day of the month! It is time....release day at My Favorite Things! I have a home decor item to share with you....I gave you hints on Monday.

I am addicted to my shrink film! These little leaves were created with the new THANKFUL LEAVES stamp set along with the FALL LEAVES DIE-NAMICS.

Do you see one other new Die-namic in here? Yes, it is the solid circle portion from the WESTERN STAR BORDER DUO. I cut it from the hot fudge felt and just hot glued it together in the size of ring that I wanted.
Here is a real close up so you can see how pretty they are! The full photo directions are after the next project I show you:

Here is another project using this THANKFUL LEAVES stamp set and FALL LEAVES Die-namics.

I made my own little frame to hang in our entry way. I printed off some photos of us in black and white. Die-cut the front from some kraft card stock. I stamped the new LJD WESTERN BACKGROUNDERS in white ink. I mounted this front on some heavy mat board and slipped the photos in between. Tied a few MFT buttons to the base of the leaves.

I had to use the pretty die cut leaves so I stamped the script from the set in fall ink colors and secured with a kraft button and some brown ribbon.

So now you have seen the leaves in the full size as well as the petite (shrunk) version. Here is the tutorial of the leaf charms:

I used my copic various ink reinkers and my Tim Holtz application tool and cut the fall leaves out of clear shrink film.
I added the alcohol ink to my felt pad and dabbed over all my leaves. I worked on a craft sheet.
I used some Timber Brown StazOn ink and inked the backside of the shrink film with the leaf veins.
I took the script stamp from the thankful leaves set and stamped that in white StazOn.
I used my paper piercer to hold down the leaves while I blasted them with my heat tool to shrink them. This way they weren't blowing around and I could let them dry with a little bit of a curve to them.
I wrapped wire around the stems of the leaves and left a long enough tail to attach them to my napkin rings.
Here is a photo of the felt napkin rings. I just wrapped the wire around them and then slipped in my napkin! Voila! A nice way to pretty up (some already pretty) napkins :)

Make sure you check out the full MFT product tour. All the links are on the MFT blog! Happy Shopping :)

Super post! LOVE the plaque w/the leaf cut-outs and pics. Also the shrinky dink leaf charms are wunderbar! The colors and stamping look terrific. I haven't used shrinky dink since I was a kid. Back then you had to bake it and watch it like a hawk. Mom used to love to have to stand there and do that. Hee! Glad to know that now you use your heat tool. (And when I tell Mom, I'm sure she'll be glad to hear it. Hee!) THANKS for a great post and the tutorial. :)
