I found some time to play along with this month's MFT creative challenge! Yay! You will find my full supply list at the bottom of my post with easy to click on icons. Be sure to check out all the girls playing along today, you will find them on the MFT blog.
Just the push I needed to print out some of the photos I have been taking and play with the frames I have been hoarding! This is actually on the wall in our entry way of the house. I had this old brass large frame that I painted with some white acrylic paint.
The "base" patterned paper page is from the "Attic Treasures" Collection from Melissa Frances. I added some stamped flourishes, butterflies and sentiments to go with my design. I colored in the two corner butterflies and the bird resin piece with my copic markers. Here are some close-up photos....
Framing up one of the beautiful images on the patterned paper.
I printed my photo in 3x3 size in a sepia tone and then stamped some script over top with Staz-on white ink.
Here is one of the sweet distressed sentiments that I stamped along with the pretty flourish.
I used the typewriter type to spell out our last name, keeping with the vintage feel. I also added a little color to the white resin bird with my copics.
Why not add a little detail directly to the wall? To play in with the butterfly theme. I used my Die-namics to cut out the butterflies from Melissa Frances crepe paper. I stamped the corresponding image on top and then added a smaller Die-namics butterfly on top. Finished off with a few little pearls.Just the push I needed to print out some of the photos I have been taking and play with the frames I have been hoarding!
