Holly, Jolly Christmas

Yay, for the end of Halloween....BRING ON THE CHRISTMAS! I know that Americans still have Thanksgiving to look forward to but in our house once Halloween is finished.....let the Christmas tunes begin!

Listening to a little Bing Crosby today while I played in anticipation of the new Michael Buble album that we will buy this year. I really enjoyed coloring up this Holiday Hugs Snowman from My Favorite Things....and guess what.....it released Tuesday! Yay!

A couple of coloring things I wanted to point out. Did you know that it is so much quicker and easier to get a large, smooth colored background with copics if you soak your paper with your blender pen first. It "primes" the paper for your color.

I love the blue/green colors combined with the yellow/greens for winter. My sentiment was musical so I rolled up some old sheet music for the backdrop of this card. That beautiful yellow/green background paper is from Melissa Frances.

Here is the list of copic marker colors that I used:
T0,2,5,8,10  YG61,63,95,97  E000,50,53,31  YR20,15,18   BG09 and the blender pen for the spots in the background.

That was one of my favorite techniques I learned at the Copic Intermediate Class last weekend in Portland, OR.
The blender pen has a whole new meaning for me!

Very creative - rolling the sheet music paper. The blue-green color pops off the card, beautiful color combination!
