Creative Chat

MFT has come up with a new monthly feature and we think it's something you'll really enjoy. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a new monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:
How do you store and organize your Die-namics?
Any fun or helpful Die-namics purchasing strategies you'd like to share?
How do you store extra Die-namics die-cuts?
Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team!
So here is a peek at how I store my Die-namics. These are magnetic knife holders from the kitchen department at Ikea. I wanted something that I could readily see in my room and yet still be out of the way so that I am not constantly having to move them on my desk.
As you can see from this photo I have several dies stacked on top of one another. These magnets are SUPER strong.
I keep one section reserved on my holder for the new releases of the month....this helps me keep organized.
When I receive my die-namics I make sure to label them. This makes life A LOT easier when I am doing a blog post. I am not searching for the names of the dies.
This is how I store all my decorative edge die-namics. It is simple and easy to flip through.
All those tiny pieces.....here is a little tray that I have been keeping for those. It is still a work in progress but I am looking forward to hopping around to the other design team members posts to see what they do. I am sure they have some fantastic ideas too!

Those magnets are so strong. Something I would love to explore if I can find the space to mount them.

That's the way I keep mine but my hubby made a box with a lazy susan on the bottom so I can spin it around and it's working out great. I have 2 "knife" holders on each side. What are you using to hold your copics?

Really like the magnetic strip idea. I've been putting mine on magnetic 8 1/2 x 11 paper and then into a plastic folder in a 3 ring binder and that works well also. And my son made me a special box for markers and copics. Edna

May I ask how long these magnetic holders are? I saw some that were 15 inches long, but these look longer.
