MFT Teaser Time!


Time for a little peek at the new Pure Innocence stamps coming this month! I am showing you "Lily of the Valley". These are just coming up in my yard so I was inspired to use her this month.
This is a very simple layout so that the focus really is the sweet image. I colored her with my copics and then embossed her and cut her out using a spellbinder die.
The loops in the die lend themselves nicely to ribbon accent.
I paper pieced her dress but didn't forget to add the shading to the dress with my cool gray markers. See how adding a bit of shading to the skirt makes the pleating look a little more life like?
I used the toner grays for her hair and shoes and then used my cool grays for the shadow cast on the ground.

BTW, love the shadowing you did on the paper piercing and the ground, that is so amazing! Thanks for the trick/tip, I'm going to have to try that!

Oh, this is so pretty Sherrie - LOVE the sunny happy yellow polka dotted patterned paper and your coloring is STUNNING! LOOK at the dimension you added to the cute little PI girl's dress and the yellow bases of the lilies!! AWESOME!
