Friday's are also for playing along in Taylor's sketch challenge and I was so in love with my tulips that I decided that I needed to go with a "nature inspired" card.
I did the quilting thing for the design of this card....take a beautiful piece of patterned paper (Melissa Frances) and cut it up and then sew it back together....much like quilting.The dragonfly was a little special touch. It is part of a set by Cornish Heritage Farms in their Sara England line called "emerging dragonfly". Such a pretty one and the sentiment is part of this set too.
I decided to take on the direct to rubber coloring with my copic markers. I colored on various colors that matched my patterned paper and colored my dragonfly. I then misted it with colorless copic blending solution and then stamped on a piece of white card stock. A beautiful watercolor effect is the result!

i tried that technique with my copics a while ago but it didn't come out looking as great at your dragonfly! I'll have to try it again
