One day at a time....

When I see this sentiment "one day at a time..." I always want to follow it up with "sweet Jesus"...and that has put the song in my brain for the day. Not a bad mantra though...
I had a lot of copic fun creating this card. I stamped the "sketched bird" first then I wanted to match up some patterned paper. I found this lovely stripe from Webster's Pages and thought it was a beautiful flower color combo. I colored my rubber silhouette stamp directly with my copics and then when I was done spritzed it with blending solution and stamped. Cool soft affect that I was going for. I colored the bird with my markers being careful not to get too bold as I was going for an overall subtle look.

Here is a close up of the flowers. I love that they are not outlined like stamping a stamp and then coloring in, but rather just splashes of color.
The sentiment is from a new Encouragement Expressions set that is due to be released THIS THURSDAY.
