Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 37!

So...what is the OPPOSITE of sweet cupcakes? I figure pirate ships and skulls are pretty much it! I have a real twist on today's cupcake challenge. I have this new Stamp of the Month set from Cornish and I just had to ink it up! What a fun set!
It is the time of the year when either spooky/pirate type cards are hot so why not use one of Taylor's fabulous sketches to play!

I did want to show you this close up of my ship. I used pigment black ink to stamp it (so you don't see the patterned paper through) and then I did a fun row of microbrads to add some dimension to this ship. It is stamped on Ambrosia patterned paper and I thought all the fun swirls mimicked the waves of sea.....matey!
Here is the whole card. If you look close I followed Taylors' sketch. I used my spellbinder nesties to cut out all my circles. Something that I didn't plan was the dark circle popping through the eye of the skull....it just worked that way with the patterned paper....Don't you LOVE it when things like that just happen!
Here are all this card's details:
Stamps:
Ahoy Matey (Kim Hughes) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Black Adirondack Pigment Ink (Ranger)
Paper:
Ambrosia Patterned Paper (Basic Grey)
Accessories:
Micro Brads (Creative Impressions)

Here is the sketch so you can play along in TAYLOR'S challenge.
