Giving Thanks

Here is a quick little project that makes a great gift set...or something pretty to adorn your mantle. More glass etching. The solid silhouette like stamp of the new "stamp of the month" is perfect for etching. Just ink up the stamp in versamark, stamp, then heat set some clear embossing powder. The last step is to cover in etching paste and when you rinse that off you get this pretty leaf votive holder.
Here are all the products I used:
Stamps:
Leaf and Acorns, Giving Thanks by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Terracotta Adirondack Pigment Ink (ranger)
Coffee Bean (Brilliance)
Versamark
Paper:
Scrapblocks, Thomas Kinkade Masculine Patterned Paper by Cornish Heritage Farms
Accessories:
Flower, Ribbon (Prima)
Glass Etching Paste
Clear Embossing Powder
Sponge

What a neat idea for a gift. I've never done any etching so I have what may be a stupid question. The etching paste - does that basically go all over the rest of the glass (so that the embossed area is not etched)?

You are exactly right Kerry! Not a stupid question at all. Sometimes I will use masking tape and just tape off a section if I don't want to etch the whole thing.....
