More Kim Hughes Fun

Yup, can't get enough of this boat. I love that Kim designed this with the cute little curl (wave) under the boat, it is a perfect and natural match to her "bold curls" set. My bold curls are the waves in the ocean. I used my corner rounder punch to scallop the bottom and my gel pen to add some accent. Here are the card deets:
Stamps:
Paradise Found, Bold Curls (Kim Hughes) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Aloe (EK success)
Pitch Black (Adirondack)
Paper:
Simply smooth white, black, Frosted Teal (Prism)
Accessories:
White Gel pen (Inkssentials)
Small corner rounder (marvy)

Are you having fun blitzing over on the CHF forums. Looks like a lot of you are having fun! Loving seeing all your Kim Hughes creations!
Have a great day!

This is a very cute card, but the sentiment should be spelled "hasta la vista" Perhaps CHF could look at correcting this?

I do not understand the significance of the chess piece on the waves---the black image. I also think the sentiment is spelled oddly.

just to clarify, the corner detail is a faux postage stamp.

Sherrie, you are creating the CUTEST cards with this. You blew me away yesterday with your cute hearts and just when I think it can't be outdone, you do it again! Seriously, you're amazing me!

And I just have to chuckle at all of those concerned about the spelling of "asta" vs. "hasta." Maybe you should put Kim's disclaimer on each post that includes this new set. :)
Love,

Oh my! When I first saw the card I thought the main image looked like a fancy perfume bottle -- and then read the sentiment -- and couldn't quite get it. Then I started reading and saw it's a ship!! It all makes sense now!!

I just can't get past the misspelled "hasta", it's so distracting I can't take in the rest of the card. I hope the stamp gets fixed.
