Yummy Stuff

This was so fun to create! This is using Kim Hughes new "baked with love" set by Cornish Heritage Farms. It is being released TOMORROW! You know there are endless gift/card ideas you can create with this set. It was perfect for today's sketch challenge on splitcoast.
First of all I created a mask with a post it note to be able to stack my dirty chocolaty bowls up!
One other little detail. I love the lined paper backgrounder. I stamped it on my white cs at an angle then colored the perimeter and it really makes it look like 2 layers....but it is only one!
Then I added some color. Here are the copic markers I used to color these images.
Here is a close shot of the dishes. I colored in my base color first (BG 10) and then used the tip to tip touching technique with my darker color (BG 15) to create the shading. I did the same technique with the hearts. I then drew in with my brown marker some chocolate mess!
I wanted to show you a close shot of the cupcake too. I left the brown liquid applique to dry on its' own. I did not heat set it. This way you get a yummy glossy frosting on top!
Here are all the card deets:
Stamps: Baked with love, lined paper background (CHF)
Ink: espresso, slate (adirondack) rosebud (colorbox)
Paper: simply smooth white, espresso, frosted pink (prism)
Accessories:copics, liquid applique, pink brads (heidi swap)

I love this card...and since you used the Copics I have a question...which is the best to start with - Ciao or Sketch? I don't know what the difference is and before I invest want some opinions.

thanks! CJ
