Can Ya Dig it?

Isn't this just an adorable set by My Favorite Things. I am not much of a gardener myself...but I know someone who is...this card will be perfect for her! This was for today's technique challenge over on SCS. How fun to create cards that open in unique ways. This is the shot of the card open, carrying my theme from the front of the card to the inside too.
I wanted to show you a really close shot of the coloring with copic markers. You can achieve that shading look that pencils give but with the vibrancy that only the markers have. Isn't she pretty in her big sun-protective hat! Love it!

Lastly, a shot of the card closed. I strung my chocolate ribbon through the card and tied it shut in the front. I was careful in my layout to only show her hat when the card was closed. I didn't want the front too cluttered but also wanted to peak the interest on what was inside.
Hope you all have a fun stamping day!

What a gorgeous card. My first reaction was - I love the placement of the lady on the inside so only her hat shows. Then I read on to see that you did that intentionally so you totally achieved your goal. I also love the scallops on the angled piece (I may have to case that part when I get to doing my card for this challenge - hope you don't mind),
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.

Did you use the same color pen to do the shading? Or was it two different colors? And what 'method' did you use to shade? (Sorry if you have a previous post on your copic methods.) I'm just trying to get the 'shading' down myself and any tips would be appreciated.
