Hey Tweetie!

I had the very fun opportunity to "play" alongside Lisa a couple of weeks ago. She was preparing some of the many projects she featured this week on her blog with her new line of background stamps for CHF. I have been "patiently" waiting to post these once the backgrounds were released. She also had along these fun bird sets to play with too! Bonus! I created a little scene with this card and colored it with my copics. The sentiment I cut out using my nestabilites and hung it in the center of my card. These two new backgrounds are definitely on my Christmas wish list. I love the small scale of both of them. Thanks for the play time Lisa and Theresa and the enabling too!

This is another card using CHF's new background stamp and yes, more birds. These are the swirly birds designed by Kim Hughes. There is a lot of "white space" on this card which I really love. I feel it draws attention to the "miss you" sentiment and the lone bird on it's own perch in the lower left corner. Colored with copics. I sewed on this one to finish it. Make sure you check out all the fun new background stamps at CHF that are being released today. Happy Birthday Lisa!

Oh, too funny -- when I saw your card above with the alcohol ink, it made me think of Lisa, and now I read you are her real life friend!!! I find it so interesting every time I come to discover who actually knows who IRL!!! Oh, it would be so fun to actually meet and get to know you girls!!! And by the way, the cards are adorable!!!
