Kinkade Plaque

Look what I made today! This is an 8x8 wall plaque that I decided to alter. I spend a lot of time coloring a Kinkade that I thought, Might as well do it for keeps. This matches my living room colors quite well. I used all CHF stamps. The woodgrain background I stamped twice. Side by side so it would be wide enough. I distressed it with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. I colored my main image with....what else....copics. I love the vibrancy they give. Then I covered with one layer of thick UTEE and had intended to do another coat but......I love the rain drop feeling one coat gives. Since I live in rainy BC I thought I would leave it this way. I took my versamark pen and ran it around the edges and applied gold embossing powder for a finished look. A little ribbon and sponged the edges of the tile to match and I was done! Sounds a lot quicker than it was....lol!
If you click on this photo you can get a close up of my coloring and the really neat coating.
Here is where I started, just wanted to show you the before. I found this at the dollar store for 2 bucks! Now it's going on my wall!
