Live Earth

This is how I wave my "flag" for Live Earth day. My clothesline. I love the smell of fresh sheets and bedding off the line. This saves a lot in dryer cost and energy. The quilts take a while to dry. The sun does a wonderful free bleaching job on my whites too! This definitely is the old way of doing things....but I love it! I sit on my deck and watch the sheets flap in the wind (with a coffee in my hand of course).

I wish I could still dry my clothes this way. Since we moved to a subdivision...I haven't. I'm afraid to offend the neighbors...but maybe I shouldn't worry about that, huh?

I with you, I love lined dried sheets but it's not warm enough here to dry much. I don't like air dried jeans to much though!!!

This is great you are doing your part! The Live Earth Concert yesterday was so wonderful! I made a little card in honor of the event. Deb G.~

I agree! There's nothin' like fresh smellin' sheets off the line! We line dry our towels and t-shirts too. We just throw them in the dryer for about 10 minutes after we take them off so they aren't so stiff. It's better than 50 minutes in, right?

Hi Sherrie, funny I was just thinking the other day how I have missed having a clothes line like at my moms house! See if I can convince DH to put me one up!

Hey Sherrie, love your flag!! I love hanging out laundry, could do it all day long. Never really thought of it as doing the earth good, just knew it was so mucheasier on my light bill!! Ha!!
