Just Ducky

This is so NOT my color palette. This was for the SCS color challenge, and a challenge it was! The yellow we were challenged to use is so bright. I tried to break up the color by cutting up the card stock to see the strips of black. The Duck is A Muse and the little balloon is Memory Box. I created the yellow dots on my black scallop by first doodling them in white then going overtop with my yellow glaze pen. Used a glaze pen to color in the duck and his balloon. Amuse skinny oval stamp for the "puddle". I also used my small scallop scissors to create a border and to tie in with the gigga punch.

Good luck to those of you who attempt this challenge. I think I'll be putting my Yo Yo yellow AWAY! Have a ducky day!

You are BRAVE! I haven't done yesterday's layout or today's challenge. They are both scary.

I LOVE your YoYoYellow ducky! You rocked this one!

Absolutely adorable Sherrie. Yo-Yo Yellow is not the easiest color to use (and definitely not very popular from the comments I've seen in the gallery/forums/blogs etc.)but you managed to create a really great card with it! Nice work!

You might have felt challenged with the colors but the card turned out great.

That yo yo yellow made for a cheerful card! I have had 4 sheets of it for years and never used it.

You really did a great job with the challenge! I am not usually crazy about that yellow either!

I'm really surprised at how many people have said that using the bright yellow was hard for them. I love it - especially with black or red - but I really like what you did with this green.
