Birds and blossoms

It's going to be snowing at our house (pink blossoms) that is. The tree outside our front is bursting with pink and only needs the encouragement of a little wind to let go. Cindy at My Inky Fingers, has challenged me to get my camera outside and see what creatively inspires me. The falling pink snow blossoms have done it for me.
You all know my passion for birds and wouldn't you know it, Martha Stewart came out with a couple of gorgeous wood mounted stamps. This little bird I colored with prismacolors and blended with gamasol. I wanted to frame the bird somehow. I cut up the Basic Grey pp and inserted the middle "bird" section. I bordered it with some chocolate brown ribbon to try to draw attention to the bird. I outlined it with my clear Sakura pen. The flowers are different primas and I added the green jewel brads from MM for the centers. The large flower needed some of the rich green leaves from the photograph so I embossed some on colored vellum and adhered them to the prima. Definitely a card that came together as I went. Thanks for the challenge Cindy!!

Hey, I had a thought....
to make your banner really you, you need to keep your tea cup and add a bird sitting on the rim!!!
