It is that WONDERFUL time of the month again when we (the MFT Design Team) get to give you a look at what is coming in this months' release! Release day is February 11th at 7pm PST. You will find everything that is new on the MFT site HERE. In the meantime enjoy hopping around the Designer blogs and soak in the inspiration. The MFT blog will have all the details!
I was THRILLED that MFT was bringing in a "Forget Me Not" set! My mother's china (which I have inherited) is this pattern.
I used my china as my inspiration. I started out by creating a mask using the circle from the Blueprints 12 Die-namics. I stamped the text in gold ink.
I then, removed the mask and stamped the stems and leaves of the flower using chocolate brown for the stems and then a combo of gumdrop green and factory green for the leaves.
The blossoms were done by coloring the stamp directly with my copic markers and then spritzing the ink with copic blender to wet the stamp....and then quickly stamped the image before it dried. This gave more of a watercolor look that I was going for in the flower.
I stamped the sentiment and my LAST step was to faux emboss the same circle that I used to make a mask from the Blueprints 12 set. When embossed it leaves that pretty double stitching line.
For this next card....I used that cut out circle from Blueprints 12 as a mask over the area where I wanted my sentiment. I then laid the "Spring Flowers" Stencil over that and airbrushed with my copic markers.
I used the same technique as explained in the above card for the leaves and blossom....and then stamped the sentiment in chocolate brown ink.
Here are the supplies that will be released February 11th!
