I can never have too many of these....so this months' MFT creative challenge for "Christmas in July" was the perfect opportunity to get started on my Christmas tags.
To see all the Christmas inspiration head on over to the MFT blog!
To start off I used the gift card pockets (horizontal and vertical) as well as the 3x4 Pocket as my sleeves for my tags. I cut them out in Kraft cardstock and then used the Chevron stencil and painted them in different colors and then folded them up.
Each photo below shows off the different tag/sleeve combos....
Here is one for my daughter....I did them with a monogram using the lower case High Rise Alpha Die-namics. I cut it out of the natural tag and then mounted the tag with a coordinating color. The actual cut out I used on the front of the sleeve. This is one of the sentiments from the Seasonal Sentiments sets embossed in white.
I used the smallest Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics for the little hit of color where I placed my eyelet.
Here is a tag for my hubby. If your paint is a little runny you will have this bit of bleed through with the stencil. So it makes for an imperfect tag.....which also adds to the homemade charm :)
I used a large corner rounder for the corners of the tags.
Here it is in red for my son....using a couple of sentiments stamped in Electric Red.
One for Grandma too! I am happy to tuck these away for a few months and Christmas will be here before you know it!
