Spread Your Wings Marie.....

Back from a week of the Sound of Music performances. There are a couple of photos at the bottom of this post....

Graduation is just around the corner for our oldest daughter....so I was inspired to make a GRAD card for her today.

I used some brand new releases from My Favorite Things. I started out by faux letterpressing the "Feathers and Arrows" Die-namics to a whipped cream card base.

I then cut out a separate mask using the feather for 2 purposes....

1. To use the cut out feather to trace around on my card front using a 0.3 Sepia Multiliner.

2. To use the negative portion of my cut out and lay it over the card front lining up the feathers....I then airbrushed the feather with YG25 and BG15 Copic markers. I just have to say.....I LOVE my AIRBRUSH.....I use it SO often!

I stamped the sentiment from the "Right on Target" stamp set in both kraft and berrylicious inks and then added the date with the "Bottom Line Numbers and Symbols" Die-namics in the same whipped cream paper.

Below is a look at the inside....I tried to take a large enough photo so that you could see the pretty faux letterpress indentation on the inside of the card as well.
My girl (Marie) that is graduating this year played the role of Liesl (the oldest Von Trapp child)...she is in the yellow dress above.

Below is a shot of her and Rolf (played by Mitchel Janzen)...their "16 going on 17" song was SOOOO sweet!

WAY TO GO MARIE!!! She looks sooo sweet as the eldest Von Trapp child... hey if I knew, I may have ventured out to see that play. The costumes and set design look fantastic. Oh sorry, got off topic there. Your card, stay on topic, your card. Simply clean and wonderful!
