Clearly Sentimental About Art!

Do you love to recycle items? My kids know not to throw out any tin or can so that I can attack it with my supplies :)

Here is a sweet little container that I am using for my paint brushes in my studio. Showcasing a brand new sentiment set that is perfect for all you artists out there! This is "Clearly Sentimental About Art" from MFT. Details on the release are at the bottom of this post.

Here is a close shot of the sentiment....I broke it up a little so that it would fit in my artist palette Die-namic (also in this months' release). Look at that sweet little paintbrush!
Here is the original tin....inexpensive cocoa from the grocery store....empty now due to brownies :)
I cut some white card stock the exact height of the tin. I used a 12x12 piece of card stock to make sure it would wrap all the way around the tin.
You know I am loving the Chevrons Die-namics from last month. So I cut some of the larger chevron to cover my card stock.
This large chevron has enough space down the middle that I can adhere my 1/8" X-press it double sided tape.
I used a straight edge to make sure my chevrons were all lined up!

Here is a shot of me running the new artist's palette Die-namics through my cuttlebug. Yes, my poor cuttlebug has endured years of use and still works like a charm!

I agree with Queen Mary - great idea for kids to make for gifts! I don't have any kids but I want one of these! The yellow gingham is so cheery. I did my tiny kitchen in my apt. in yellow gingham and latch hooked a little rug for it - this would have fit in perfectly but that was so long ago! Thanks for bringing back a fun memory.

I _love_ your idea for making a paintbrush can! I made one of these many years ago (in elementary school!), and decorated it with scraps of yarn. You have inspired me to make a version 2.0! ;)
