I was so inspired by this month's Moxie challenge that I not only made a card but a fun matching layout too! HERE is the challenge on Moxie Fab World if you want to check it out...
Ahhh, never too old 4 bubbles! This is my daughter playing with the bubble wands that were set out for her younger cousins....but she couldn't resist! I used LOTS of Melissa Frances goodies from their Vintage Posey Collection. The big beautiful blooms on the page matched the very pretty roses in the photo. You can see I went with the circle (bubble) theme using a mix of my Spellbinder dies and large circle cutter by EK Success.
I am also LOVING the new Banner Alphabet that was just released at My Favorite Things....what a nice clean font....it is the "NEVER TOO OLD" segment on my layout.
I had a leftover photo that I made the card from. The scraps of the circle cutouts were what I used in my card to carry out the circle theme. I also had my Melissa Frances rub-ons follow the curves of my bubble.
A couple of notes:
All these photos were printed in black and white on my home printer....I then took my water painter and filled it full of copic blender solution and colored selected sections of the photo. In this instance I colored her swimsuit, bubble wand and the green in the shrubbery.
Here is a close shot of just the page.
Again...this photo WAS black and white. I love the vintage flavor just coloring sections of the photo gives. See the roses (I colored them) and the green in the shrubs....I think this draws your eye to my daughter (whom I left in black and white).
Close ups of the other random photos. I used the vintage posy labels to back them.
I didn't have the right colors of letters so I used the negative portion of the glittered letter sheets from MF for the "B". The rest of the letters are Cosmo Cricket where I painted them with white crackle paint and then airbrushed them with R85 to match my page.
I loved this little sentiment rub-on as well, framed with another vintage posy label.
Lastly this little tag detail.....love this sentiment too! Tied on with a little vintage posy ribbon!
Thanks for coming to look today! I had so much fun first of all taking the photos (with my new camera) and then converting them into a page....My daughter now has this tacked up on her wall....
Enjoy your MOXIE day!
