Teaser PI girls and Tea Dying

Welcome to the new Pure Innocence girls for the month of February! I have this cutie to show you today....my others are colored up but have yet to find their way into a card...
To see all the peeking today for these girls go to Kim's blog to check out the DT list.

My kids have been bringing home fantastic report cards! I thought this would be a sweet little card to let them know how proud I am of their hard work!

I colored her with my copics and colored in the chalkboard too! I wanted it to look like there was a little of that chalk residue left on the blackboard. After I was done coloring with my markers I took my black spica pen and wrote "A+".

Here is a little close up of the coloring....notice the little spica accents on the bottom of her shirt and her collar.
Here are this card deets:
Stamps:
You Make the Grade (PI), CS about Emerson by My Favorite Things
Ink:
Tuxedo Black Memento (Tsukineko)
Paper:
Boyfriend Collection (Cosmo Cricket), White (Neenah), Kraft Card Stock
Accessories:
Copic Markers
Airbrush System, Black and Clear Spica Pens (Copic)

Chipboard Flower (Maya Road)
Button, Twill

OK....I ordered a BOATLOAD of twill the other day...lots of white as I can color it any shade with my copics. I also wanted to tea dye some as well so here is the photo by photo of that process.
Bring water to a boil and add tea bags (cheap black tea works best).
Here is the pile of "before" ribbon
Take the tea bags out and add the ribbon to the pot....let it sit and soak till it reaches the desired color.
Take the ribbon out and put it in a colander. If it isn't dark enough you can always add it back to the pot.
I rinsed it and threw it in the dryer with my towels to "heat set" it. I just wrapped them around a piece of sturdy card stock. Now I have a beautiful linen color of twill....you will be seeing lots of twill!
See you tomorrow with a peek of a brand new artist for My Favorite Things...I think you will love her too!
